More Meet Information

  • Because they include so many teams, the conference meets are run differently than regular dual meets.  We will be competing with 8 other teams in our half of the West Michigan Swim League.  This also means they run a little longer – so be prepared.
  • At the B meet, there is no medley relay, only a freestyle relay.  Swimmers are allowed to swim 1 relay and 2 individual events.  However, each team may only enter 1 relay, so only 4 swimmers in each age/gender group will swim in a relay.
  • Everyone will be entered in their 2 individual events.
  • Swimmers may only swim events for which they have a seed time.
  • Because there are several officials at conference meets, disqualifications will be called on the technical aspects of each stroke, i.e., illegal kicks (common in breaststroke and butterfly).  Therefore, most swimmers will be entered in freestyle and backstroke events.
  • Generally, the Championship Meet signals the end of practices for your athlete.

End of Season Party

Thanks for a great summer season!

Come back one more time on Tuesday 7/24 from 5:30-6:30 PM.

  • We’ll have your ribbons from the whole season, including the Championships.
  • We’ll have a small treat.
  • We’ll have open swim for you and your family (parents, please know that while we will have lifeguards there, you are responsible for your children.)

Keep your eyes out for the Winter Season information.  We’re working on a new early bird sign up special.  Details coming in September or October with the season starting early November.

Championship Meets are Next Week

Please Read – All Championship Meet Opt-Outs are Due Tomorrow by 10:00 AM

How to determine which Championship Meet your swimmer is attending (read carefully – it’s confusing, we know!):

  • All swimmers who competed in at least 1 regular season meet will compete in a Championship Meet.
  • Your swimmer will compete in only one Championship Meet – either the A or B.
  • If your swimmer is 13 or over, he or she will attend the A meet.
  • If your swimmer is 12 or under and not on the list of A meet qualifiers, he or she will attend the B meet.
  • Championship meets are away meets – see locations.

7/12 Home Meet Info

Hope you had a great holiday!  Our last regular season meet is next week.  Then it will be a really quick turnaround on the Championship Meets.  So, please pay attention to the emails.

1 – Unable to Participate

Quick Links
» We cannot attend this meet
» I can donate!
» I can volunteer

All registered swimmers (as of 7/9/2018 at 10:00 AM) will be entered into the meet. You must let us know if your athlete will not be participating.

Swimmers not showing up will affect relay teams (3 other swimmers) so it is imperative that you let us know if your athlete is not participating by 10:00 AM on 7/9/2018.  This isn’t like RSVPing to a family party, if we don’t have an accurate participation count, other swimmers will lose chances to swim.

By 10:00 AM on 7/9/2018, let us know your swimmer is unable to participate.

We are unable to participate in the 7/12 Home Meet

2 – Concession Donations

One way we keep our registration fee low for NCST is by generating revenue from our home meet concessions. Unlike the normal school sports concessions where items are purchased, marked up, and then sold, The NCST relies on items that are purchased and donated by you the parents of the team. This way, your contribution of a box of candy or bag of apples is magnified and really helps the team.

Click the link below for a list of things we need for the coming meet(s). Please sign up for at least one of the items, or more if you are able : ). If you are short on time and do not have time to run out and pick something up we will also take cash donations that we can use to purchase what we need. Please bring your donations to the pool deck during practice. We have a great tradition of support by the team parents and it makes a huge difference so thank you very much!

I Can Donate!

NCST is a 501(c)(3) corporation and your donations may be tax deductible.

In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help run the concession stand as well as apprentices to learn the concession stand operations.

3 – Volunteers

We have several volunteer needs to help keep our swim meets running smoothly.  Please consider signing up to help the team out.

Never helped before? No problem, we will train you, help you and thank you profusely!

Clean Up Crew, Timers, Marshalers, Concessions and Greeters… they are all easy jobs.
