Great job NCST!  That was a challenging meet and everyone did a good job.  There are some nice time drops to finish out the season.

All medals and ribbons from the Championship Meets will be available at the End of Season Celebration on Wednesday.

Keep reading below for some information from our Digital Archaeology project, Next Season Teaser details and the End of Season Celebration.

End of Season Celebration

Wednesday, 2/15
6:00 – 7:30 PM
Northview High School Cafeteria

Please join us in celebrating a great swim season! The whole family is invited.

  • Ice Cream Sundaes
  • Championship Meets Awards
  • Season Time Reports

We’ll conclude with open swim in the pool, so bring your suit.  Parents, you are responsible for supervising your child while swimming.

This will also be your last chance to look through the lost and found.  Everything left over will be donated.

We understand the End of Season Celebration conflicts with 8th Grade Parent Orientation.  Unfortunately, that was not on the calendar when our date was set at the beginning of the season.  Hopefully, 8th graders can stop in after orientation.

What’s this about Digital Archaeology?

Thanks to Coach Tim and Coach Rob, and my own pension for hoarding old computer parts, we’ve managed to dig up the old NCST Team Records.

These records date all the way back to 1979 (crazy right?)  There is even a couple of our current coaches listed.

These records have not been available for the last 3 years since we have been in the new pool.  We’re going to do our best to get them updated before the End of Season Celebration on Wednesday and see if there are any new surprises.

Next Season Teaser Information

Here is some tentative information about the next season.

The summer season will likely start in early May and wrap up in July with the Championships.  We won’t know any meet details until April.

For summer, we’re working on a new Platinum Training Group for incoming 7th graders through High School Seniors.  This will be a limited size group that will be high intensity training and weight lifting sessions.

Summer season is a great way to stay in shape year round.  The more time you spend in the pool, the faster you’ll get.

Can’t Wait Until May?

We’re also working with coaches to organize some clinics, camps or possibly drop-in practices for March and April.  Watch your email for details.

Championship A Meet Entries Update

Hey y’all, there are just a couple of small changes to the entries.  Please double check events before Friday or Saturday.

Congratulations!  You made it!

Some notes about the Championship A Meet

  1. It’s going to be longer and more crowded than our dual meets.
  2. The competition is going to be tough – 17 teams will be competing.
  3. The officials are more strict about proper stroke.
  4. Athletes can participate in only 2 individual events.  And they can only compete in an event they have already competed in during this season (a seed time).
  5. Each team can only have 1 relay per age bracket – so a few athletes will compete in a third event on the relays.
  6. There is no admission fee.
  7. Heat sheets will be $2.
  8. There will be print on demand for Championship T-Shirts (Pro tip: order early.)
  9. Please remind your swimmer that the Warm Down pool is for warming down, this is not open swim time.  Don’t get worn out before the big event.
